Politicians Austerity Drive - A reality or a fake propaganda

Recently, more and more political parties in India and abroad are moving towards austerity. They live in tents, they eat like any other common man. But is this act sufficient to call them an austere. By definition, an austere is a human being, who has given all his material belonging, and who lives or practice complete self denial. But from my perspective, its more a fake propaganda rather then a reality. In order to support my perspective, here are some of my reasoning supporting this issue.

1. All those politicians who live in tents, do not come alone, they have their high profile bodyguards with them. They all are have their Z-level security which is available for 24/7 with them.

2. The way they live in tents, may seems quite common and simple from out sides. But if one go inside, one can find all level of comforts. From proper Air Condition, Refrigeration, and entertainment.

3. There is whole cavalcade of cars following these ministers when they try to reach their so called tents. The section through which these cars pass, the whole place remain standstill for a while, which certainly cause inconvenience to those common people, who actually put those ministers in the govt.

4. Even in their austere drive, they are served and helped by hundred of workers or servants.

These points may be sufficient to prove that, these austerity drive is nothing but a fake political propaganda and a try by these politicians to fool once again the common man who put these guys in power.

Who is more stronger Men or Women

Last week, I was just sitting with some of my new friends, having discussion over some of the bizarre topics. During the chit chat, someone just took out the topic of who is more stronger Men or Women. The girls in the party was saying, it would be better if they would have been male, rather then born as a female. The reasoning given was, that male has more liberty when it come to moving around from one place to another, they are more dominating when it come to profession life. But from my opinion, Men and Women are here in the world for a specific reason and they both are complementary to each other. But if somebody ask me, who is stronger Men or Women, my answer will be tilted more Women. Anytime, Female are much more stronger then their Male counterpart. Here are some reason to support my opinion.

1. The pain with which a women go through while conceiving a child, men cannot even imagine and cannot even bear that immense pain.

2. Carry a baby for nine months in her womb is in itself a major sacrifice by a women. Ask a men, if possible, whether they are ready to switch places, the most probable answer will be a big NO.

3. Even after a child birth, the responsibility of child upbringing should be on both on Men and Women. But in this case also, women take much more responsibility then men. From changing diapers, waking whole night, singing lullaby for the new born. Even after spending whole day at work, Women will still able to look after their kids. Watch Mother India (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mother_India), if you really want to see what kind of sacrifice a women can make.

4. Sometimes, people think Male are more dominating at work. Yeah, it may be true, but the harsh reality it, inside they have a fear. Fear by being ousted by females. Women are mostly detailed and precision oriented, they want every thing to be perfect, and if the perfectionist start performing then there is no place for non performers. Because, the Men cannot even better take care of their children, so their very survival become questionable. That's why Men often work in a consortium and don't want any women at the big positions. But even that is somewhat changing, Indira Nooyi, Sonia Gandhi etc. are the living example of high profile women. Check the link for World Most powerful women (http://www.forbes.com/2009/08/18/power-women-09_all_slide_2.html).

As I already said, both Men and Women are important for the existence of the human, until theory of 2012 come true. But women in any role being a Mother, Sister, Wife, Daughter or a friend, are any time much stronger and their counterparts.

Growth with civic sense..

Now, when you land up in India, every where you can see, sprawling multi level shopping malls, ferrari's, BMW's and Audi shinning the road, everywhere you can see sign of growth and economic stability. Though, after 60 plus year of Independence , Indian people are experiencing an all level of inclusive growth, but with this growth, one thing is missing, the basic civic sense. We, as an Indian, lacks a basic civic sense. We tried to keep our home clean, but at the same time we make sure that roads, parks and other public places. We keep spitting here and there at the roads, urinating at undesignated places etc.

I think as we move up into the leagues of developed nations, we have to make sure that we have to adapt growth with inculcating in us a habit of a basic civic sense, and treat public places as our home. Waiting to see that day.

The Day my God died

People say, the God exist everywhere, he/she is there to protect you against all the evils. It may be true, but it turn out to be false, for those people, who suffered a lot.

Today, I was watching a documentary on flesh/sex trade taking place in Kamathipura,Mumbai the World's largest red light area in the World. The documentary is called, the "The day my God died".

The fact which were shown in the documentary, is really inhumane and shocking. The trauma through which these innocent girls, yes girls and not women, because most of them are into this sex trade at the age of 7-10, went there is really astounding.

India may be shining and progressing if the GDP numbers are counted in, but if you look at the pictures from their perspective, its all together a different story.

I think the govt. should try to impose strict laws, or exercise the laws which are existing, against human trafficking and sex trade which is flourishing in India, so that these innocent girls can live with dignity and with all human rights, which they are entitled to, which also make them believe that there is certainly a God, who is looking after them.

Besides, I hats off to all those organization, who are working selflessly in order to improve the condition of people who suffered a lot due to human trafficking and sex trade.

Be yourself

Today, when I was returning from Glatt, a shopping mall in the heart of the city, I saw a couple who must be in there 60s. I was literally amazed by the how those couple were dressed up, both of the couple were dressed in the opulent dresses. But after seeing them, I agreed that those guys were not living their life for others, but trying to be themselves, trying to be selves when they were young.

So, the real question is how people can try to be them selves in all the situation. To be your self iat all the times, is really challenging, it really call for real mind strength of an individual.

I hope people should always try be themselves, and not be phoney.

Superficial Boasting

Today, Force India team made a history, after it ranked 2nd in the Belgian Grand Prix. Every newspaper and TV news channel are covering this story 24/7. But, I think this seems to be Superficial boasting. I don't understand, what so Indian about this success, the Giancarlo Fisichella, is an Italian driver, most of the car parts are borrowed from other International Car makers. The only Indian about the whole event was the team is owned by Indian Industrialist, Vijay Mallaya and second thing the name of the team, i.e. Force India.

The same thing happened with success of Slumdog Millionaire, though the plot was setup in India, and most of the actors are Indian, but the concept behind the movie was from a British Director, but most of the Indians claim that its the India's success.

I will not totally disagree with claim, but we have to come above from this superficial boasting, and really have to come with products which are solely from India, a product which is solemnized from Concept till execution by an Indian, and then only we can solely move away from Superficial boasting.

Mullah and Military

I started my sunday morning, by watching a documentary on Youtube, featuring the concept of hardliners Mullahs and the Military rulers in Pakistan. The video seems to be quite disturbing, in the sense that people of the same nation, same religion are killing each other, just because one set(i.e. Mullahs) is showing repressed against the Western Forces (US, UK) while the other set is showing support to these forces.

Besides, documentary also revelead the cruel fact that not all Military officers are against the Mullahs ideology, in the sense they support their ideology and helped them to serve their purpose. Some of the army officers openly condemed US, UK military operations in Afghanistan.

But the real point of discussion over here is that, is the ideology correct. Koran says, its a offence to kill other people, but the people are killing each other in the name of god, and in the hope that they will receive Jannat (paradise). This belief has to be changed, they have to shown correct direction, so that instead of being blood sucking animals, they can be helpful in improving the lifestyle of the people in their region.

I hope these hardliners will certainly understand the real lessons of Koran, and instead of spreading hatred, they should spread the message of love and peace throughout the world.

Weekend at Nice,France

Nice, popularly known as French Riveria, is a beach site port in France. During summer time, it is one of the famous tourist place in Europe. Apart from its beautiful weather and beaches, due to close proximity to Monaco, this place is also very costly to live.

We were five guys who planned together to spent their Weekend at Nice. Though, Nice was certainly not our first choice, but as other options were not coming cheap, so we all agreed and locked for the Nice. But after spending s nice beautiful weekend, we all can proudly say, No Regrets.

Just to keep the long story short, we landed in Nice at around 6 in the evening, weather was perfect and mood was set, and also set to little bit wild. We checked-in at Hotel Trocaderro, at around 7:30 . After all unpacking, we left towards the beach side, to experience the scenic beauty of Nice. We took bath, had a couple of shots of Vodka, and enjoyed the dance and music at the beach end.

Next end, started very late, as we all were very tired after late night binging. We quickly got ready, packed our stuffs, and went to discover the afternoon scenes of Nice. We reached at the shore, and Nature call, not the early morning Nature call, but the call to fill our empty stomach. We filled our stomach with tasty breakfast at a restaurant infront of the beach.

After that we went to the beach, it was totally full, there was not an inch left for us to lie down. But we all are pure Indians, and with a jugaad instinct we were able to find place.
Beautiful women were every where, some were in their Bikinis, or some were semi naked lying at the beach, enjoying and tanning in the sun. We also got inspired by them, put on our swimming costumes and jumped in the sea. It was really fun. After spending couple of hours at the beach, we left towards our hotel. But before moving towards the hotel, I wanted to try some Parasailing activities. Myself and one of my friend decided to go for parasailing, though we were near the allowed threshold weight, but we made our mind and got ourself attired in a sailing suit.
And it was certainly amazing, to see the vast ocean from the top. The boat rider tried to made some frills in order to increase our andrenalin. But it was certainly very amazing. After doing, all the adventrous activities, we left to our hotel.
After taking the quick nap, we all get ourself dressed, and left our hotel to do some rock and roll . We went to old town, but the first club was the gay club. Then we looked out for other club, but before that we have to take our dinner. After filling our stomach, we put on our dancing showes and left to a Hive Club, a famous club infron of the Nice, Beach shore.

The club was amazing and the music was awesome, but it was so congested and hot inside the we left early, but before we left, we experienced one of the funniest moment of our lives, but may be my life. It was somebody's bachelor party, it was amazing, and somehow adventrous or I can say, it was total Paissa Vaisool (Complete Return on Investments).

Next day was a sunday, we planned to saw the film capital, i.e. Cannes. Cannes is not only famous for its film festivals, but its also famous for its luxury lifestyles and beautiful sandy beaches. We again carried out our previous day routine, had our breakfast, took off our clothes and jumped into beautiful sandy beaches of Cannes. After enough of Sun Bathing, we left for a city round. Near to Cannes city, there is a famous port, where the rich and richest park their mammoth ships.

That was the last day of our beautiful weekend at Nice. Looking forward to few such weekends.

Thanks&Regards,
Mohit

My Plusport day experience

Last sunday (05.07.09), I attended Plusport day at Mallingnen/Macolin a region in the Berner Oberland of Switzerland. On this day, physically and mentally handicapped people come at Mallingnen to participate in wide range of sport activities.

At Mallingnen, I was responsible to support the high jump (in German HochSprung) team. The rules of the high jump at Plussort were quite easy, every participant were allowed to take maximum 3 chances, if there were successful, then they bar was raised by half a meter. I was asked to either handle the bar stuff or to look at the scores of the particpant. As, I am bad in German language, so I took the handling of bar stuff.

People arrived either individually or groups accompanied with their guardian or coaches. Every body tried their level best to achieve, and most of them did achieve that level which even the abled person would have achieved.

The best part of the event was the smile on the participant, and the exuberance of achievement, which really took my breath away. This was certainly one of the best life time experience of my life.

Mohit

Biking for a Cause

I tried out biking many times across the Swiss Alps, every time its a different experience.
But today my biking experience is totally difference, today I did it for a cause.

Today, I attended a biking event organized by slowup foundation with a support of Procap.
Procap is an NGO which look after the need of the disabled people. Slowup has a annual biking lined up which take place at different parts of the country.

Today's event tool place at Sierre/Siders, a french county in Swiss Alps. In the event, I was given a tasked to support a semi-blind. His name was Hanspeter, he is 68 years old man.

I was asked to guide him and make sure guy landed safely in at the base. We both covered 20-30 km track, he was on inline skates and I was on bicycle. Though, because of lannguage barrier, we did face some initial hiccups, but in the end we both managed well and ended the journey successfully.

I will certainly going to attend some more such events in near future.

For more information about Slowup and Procap visit the sites listed below.

Europride 2009, Zurich : There is a Gay in everyone

Europride is an anual event which is celeberate in europe by gays, lesbians and bisexual people living across the globe. This year, Zurich host the Europride 09. Celeberating 40 years of pride is the motto of Europride 09. It felicitates the gay rights movement that formed 40 years ago.
From. my opinion, its really a nice concept, though gays are not acceptable in anywhere, but they have there own life to live on. They have every right to choose their partner, and love them. So, what if they cannot reproduce, but reproduction is not the only thing for which man and women are here on earth. I hope, this movement should not be restricted to europe alone, but should be celeberated across globe, with greater acceptance from people.

Find below official commercial of Europride 09.

Indians under attack in Australia

This time its not a Cricket rivarly between Austrilian all rounder Andrew Symonds and Indian bowler Harbhajan Singh, but this time the attack is on the students studying in Australia by rogue Australians.

In spate of few days, four Indians students were attacked by Australian hooligans, at four different places in Australia. In one of the gruesome event, an Indian student was attacked by screwdrivers by Australians teenagers. Though, Australian police and govt. is neglecting this event, and calling this event as a coincidence. But the series of attack really confirm that its certainly a racist attack.

Australia is one of the most sought destination for foreign education, but the spate of recent racist attacks, really having a disadvantage on Australian education.

In order to improve its overall image, Australia have to really work hard in finding the real culprits behind these events and have to make sure that proper security should be provided to the students residing in Australia.

I dreamed a dream

Susan Boyle made every dumbstruck, when she sang I dreamed a dream by les miserables at Britain Got Talent 2009 talent hunt show. But it was not only Susan Boyle, which showed there she had a dream, but there are 100 of others talented personnel, which proved that they have a dream, a dream to live on, a dream where they can give their life also.

Such kind of a talent hunt shows are sometimes really helpful in finding a real talent, and help those people to live their dream.

So, if you have a dream, dreamed it now.

My Loveride 2009 experience

Loveride is an annual event which take place in the month of may in Dubendorf, a suburb close to Zurich, Switzerland.Loveride is an event in which 5000 odd bikers participate to give a ride of a lifetime to children who are suffering from Muscular disease.

I attended Loveride 2009, but not as a visitor but as a volunteer to this event. The organizers who the event had distributed task among different team. Intially I was associated with a team which had to load and unload fences/barricades from a truck. First, 100-200 barricades were fine, but finally when the count reached 400 plus, we were very tired and were really very exhasuted.

The main problem for me in this event was the language problem, everybody over there was speaking German language, and I was the only one over there which was a non-german speaker. But one volunteer served as a translator for me, he translated each and every instructions, thus made much easier for me to carry out my task.

But in fact for the first time, I really felt that I have some meaning of my life. I my stay extended, then I would certainly like to participate in few such events in future also.

Does Education really matter ?

We often heard our parents pressurising their kids to study well in order to excel in their life ? But does education really matter ? The answer to this question is quite ambigous, but sometimes I feel that there is no need for education. To support my point I will take example of Varun Gandhi, grand son of Late Shri Indira Gandhi, an alumni of famous London School of Economics. An highly educated politician but still making irresponsible comments and making politics over communalism, instead of doing its politics on development and upliftment. So, the real question is what's the purpose of education, because eventhough you are educated you still cannot think before you speak.

Another blast in Delhi

Indian National Capital , Delhi is going through a very tough times. Few days back couple of serial blasts rocked Delhi, killed around 20 people and injured around 100 odd people. But with the serious pressures from public and media, the Delhi police was able to nab to culprits behind the blasts. But it seems that the terrorist are not deterred about the nabbing of the colleagues, as its clear from today's blast in Mehrauli market in Delhi. The terrorist planted the bomb in such a ease that the authorities did not have answer to their action. It seems that terrorist in Delhi have out numbered the police authorities in Delhi i.e. they are carrying out their work flawlessly.
Now its a high time for the govt. to make a nationwide call, with a tough stands on terrorism, so that the citizen can walk though peacefully and without any fear. Otherwise, it might be possible that the citizen might take things in their hand and produce Wednesday movie in real terms.

Blasts rock Delhi.. :-(

It seems that India is on International terrorist radar, with every passing day, terrorist activities in India is increasing day by day. In recent months, terrorist attacked several Indian cities from Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Surat, and today's its national capital Delhi. I simply don't understand what is happening to our intelligence system, is it not competent enough to combat these terrorist organizations? And how come without any fear these terrorist are conducting their acts flawlessly. From my opinion , now its a high time for the govt. to take strict actions against the banned organization, take strict actions against suspected people, and place in act with the help of all the state govt. some strict terrorist laws like POTA or MCOCA, which will have its own tribunal, own laws and regulations and will take its decision without any delay. It's really a time for the central govt. to put together all their act, and fight against terrorism with one word, DEMOLISH IT COMPLETELY.

Technology in Olympics

Beijing 2008 Olympics, amidst terrorist threat , Tibetan human rights protest, started with great galore on 08.08.2008. The 15 days sports extravaganza where athletes from 100 odd countries come and compete with each other. But Technology plays a key rule in order to put these great extravaganza. Timing is always a key in some of the sports like, Swimming. Omega is the official time keeper of Beijing 2008 Olympics game. Every Swimming position is connected to digital recording device, as soon as swimmer leaves its position, the device activated, and remain activated until swimmer comes back to its position. Each and every moment is digitally recorded and telecast to audience for viewing and also for referring in case of any discrepancies.

Another important section where technology placed a key role is Security. Today, no nation is alien from terrorist threat. Even before the Olympics, there was an official threat from a terrorist organization operating from POK. In order to curtail the terrorist activities somewhat around 1,00,000 police men are deployed in different olympic venues. But apart from human deployment, the technology deployment is also there. There are biometric cards for everybody, players, coaches, official etc. Strict x-ray screening of all the audiences.

So in order to make this world sports extravagnza successful, the chinesse official really leveraged technology to their benefit.

An Inconvenient Truth : Moving Towards Next Ice Age

Yesterday, I was watching "An Inconvenient Truth" by Al Gore. The movie clearly depicts consequences of Global Warming, and if this thing not curtailed, it will certainly make life unlivable. With the industrialization of economies, the rate of Global Warming is increasing. The constant release of Greenhouse gases in the atmosphere is increasing the temperature of earth, which in recent past was responsible tornadoes, hurricanes, floods and even drought at many places on the earth. He mentioned that somehow, America political system is responsible for not taking this issue seriously and if they they did not act, the situation may become so profound that it may be difficult to control it.

Besides, in recent news every media be it print, online, are pointing at emerging economies like India and China for rapid increase of Greenhouse gases in atmosphere, but the reality is somewhat different. According, to Al Gore the US is the major releaser of Greenhouse gases in atmosphere, with India and China nowhere it. Al Gore also mentioned that, this is not a nation problem, but it is a global problem affecting every living being on earth, a problem which can be curable, with zero emission of Greenhouse gases.

So lets take Global warming seriously and take some strict actions, before we move towards never ending Ice Age, with no u-turn.

Medical Tourism

In laymen terms Medical Tourism is like outsourcing of Medical facilities , so that these facilities are available at cheap rates to its consumers.

Need for Medical Tourism :
-----------------------------
The cost of Medical facilities are quite exorbitant in US and European territories, while the same facilities can be obtained at 1/3rd the rate, with the same level of quality in countries like, Thailand, India, China etc.

Potential of Medical Tourism Business :
----------------------------------------
Though in India concept of Medical Tourism is still in its nascent state, but as biggies like Apollo Hospitals started looking into viability of this business concept, Medical Tourism gained momentum. More and more foreign patients are turning their faces towards India to get better and cheap quality of Medical facilities in India. Some analyst says that the pace at which this industry is growing, it may surpass IT outsourcing in coming years.

Current hassles of Medical Tourism:
--------------------------------------
1. No standard defined legal format : Govt. still has to define a standard legal framework for Medical Tourism, and it has to come up with favorable policies both for the producers and consumers of Medical Tourism.

2. Infrastructure: Leave govt. hospital, even the private hospitals in India doesn't match with hospitals in any of the International standards. Condition of International airports are below International standards, hassles in Custom clearance, Visa processing, etc. such kind of infrastructure problems create delays in providing Medical facilities to the tourists. So in order to tap multi-billion dollar opportunity and to compete against other emerging markets, Indian Govt. has to tie up with private players and lay a plan to built a world class medical and transport infrastructure and also streamline its bureaucratic processes.

Thanks&Regards,
Mohit Kumar
